Project Darhk began with a pilot test in November 2015, a small group of business owners in Portland, Oregon agreed to pilot the new service. The pilot test has since expanded to include a greater number of people over a wider area. Looking ahead, Project Darhk will continue to expand the pilot, with the goal of establishing a larger footprint for saving energy for businesses, schools, and homes.
